What is Bos Chi Kung (Qigong)?

Qigong (or: chi kung) is a kind of fitness & energy training. Qi or Chi is the Chinese term for life energy. And Gong or Kung means: training, cultivation, work. So Qigong (chi kung) = fitness & energy training. Bos Qigong is a special kind of gentle fitness or yoga, based on ancient principles enriched with modern teaching.

What will you learn?

  • How to feel grounded.
  • How to "get out of your head", into your body.
  • How to feel more centered, by finding your physical center & mid line.
  • How to develop your balance and stability.
  • How to improve your circulation (and get warmer hands & feet).
  • How to be more relaxed & joyful during movement & rest (while standing, walking and sitting).
  • How to be more aware of your body as a whole, as unity.
  • How to feel, develop, and conserve your energy.
  • How to open your heart, body, and mind more (and close them if needed).
  • Nice, tai chi like movements, without the complexity of tai chi.

How & why is Bos Qigong different from other styles?

Thousands of qigong styles exist in the world. Many are connected with ancient traditions belonging to certain families, locations in China, martial arts (kung fu, tai chi, yiquan, etc.), philosophic or religious groups, forms of traditional Chinese medicine, etc. Many of the qigong teachings are clouded with myths, Chinese terminology, secrecy, contracts, traditonal master-diciple relationships, etc. Most are promoted as being the best. Or strongest, most original, purest...

Bos Qigong is easy to learn. Uncomplicated. Open. No secrets, no dogmas, no complicated choreography, no learning contracts, no myths, no masters, no Chinese terminology. Largely based on his 7 years' training in one particular style, enriched with modern insights from different qigong styles and other movement arts.

Bos Qigong offers an open approach, where the learning is more important than the teaching. The person more important than the system. We investigate together, do research together. To find out what works for you, and what you like to do. Here and now. Because if you don't do it, it simply doesn't work for you - however great and perfect the method may be for others.
